ECO DAY 2026: GreenVET Pathway Final Event in Latina

On April 15th, 2026, the IIS San Benedetto in Latina will host ECO DAY 2026. This event is more than a simple environmental awareness day; it is the grand finale of the European project GreenVET Pathway. First of all, it celebrates the success of vocational schools (VET) in leading the ecological transition.

Moreover, the event features a dedicated Career Day. In fact, students will have the chance to meet green companies, bridging the gap between education and the sustainable job market.

Event Highlights and Student Innovation

Starting at 09:45 AM, the program showcases the practical skills acquired by students during the project. Specifically, presentations will cover:

  • Organic Agriculture: focus on green manure and hydroponics.
  • Circular Economy: composting, biostimulants, and zero-km supply chains.
  • Biodiversity: apiary management and genetic heritage protection.

A keynote speech by Marco De Cave, President of Polygonal, will highlight how GreenVET Pathway has transformed European workshops. Consequently, the project has successfully turned institutional visions into daily sustainable habits.

Understanding GreenVET Pathway

However, the significance of ECO DAY 2026 lies in the broader scope of the GreenVET Pathway project. This EU-funded initiative involves partners from Germany, Cyprus, Slovenia, Latvia, and Italy, all working towards a “Whole School Approach” to sustainability.

To summarize, the project’s legacy includes the Online GreenVET Path, a digital library of best practices, and interactive toolkits for school leaders. Ultimately, ECO DAY 2026 proves that with “One school, one idea, one step at a time,” the future of vocational training is officially green.
