How can we help parents develop new digital and creative skills effectively? Certainly, cooperation between European countries offers the right tools to face this modern challenge. During the month of May, the first official step of a brand-new initiative took place. We are talking about the launch of the DIY Parents project, which gathered all international partners for their first meeting.
First of all, the kick-off event was hosted by the Centrum Medyczno-Terapeutyczne (CMT). In fact, the working sessions took place in the beautiful natural setting of Bobrowniki, Poland. The main goal of the program is to empower adults and family figures through collaborative DIY and digital skills. The Working Schedule and Creative Brainstorming
The host organization planned four intense days of project management and networking. Moreover, the first day was entirely dedicated to welcoming the teams and exploring the venue through art and nature.
Subsequently, the core activities came to life thanks to the input of the different participating institutions:
- The MARCO institution: Led a deep brainstorming session on the core concept of “Do It Yourself”. They also coordinated creative workshops focusing on the digital impact on young children.
- The coordinator CMT: Presented the administrative guidelines and the general financial management framework.
- The WISAMAR organization: Showed a strategic overview regarding the fifth work package of the project.
However, there was also plenty of time for well-being activities to build a strong team spirit. Partners enjoyed special nature therapy sessions in hammocks and traditional dinners together.
Quality Assessment and Future Steps for Families
In addition, the third working day focused on analyzing the targets of the second work package (WP2). Partners studied the specific user groups that will benefit from the training activities. Therefore, the team set up evaluation quality reports to ensure high standards throughout the project lifetime.
In conclusion, this first transnational meeting successfully laid the foundation for long-term cooperation. Surely, the upcoming months will bring innovative workshops designed specifically for families in our local communities.
