ErasMusT project: Empowering Youth Workers Through European Training

How can we effectively increase youth participation in international mobility programs? Certainly, the secret lies in strengthening the skills of those who work on the ground every day. During the month of September, a fundamental milestone is taking place to achieve this goal. We are talking about the official launch of the ErasMusT project, an intensive training course co-funded by the European Union.

Essential Information: Where and When

First of all, it is important to lay down the logistical details of this important international appointment. In fact, the training course will take place according to the following schedule:

  • 📍 Where: Ljubljana, Slovenia
  • 📅 When: From September 6th to September 10th, 2026
  • 💶 Costs: The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ program, meaning that travel, food, and accommodation are fully covered for all selected participants.

The host organization Mladinska mreža MaMa will welcome international partners for five intensive days of planning. The main objective of the program is to motivate and empower youth workers who have little or no experience in European project design. The European Consortium and Teamwork Methods

The initiative stands out due to its strong network of transnational cooperation. Moreover, the project connects five strategic organizations from different geographical backgrounds:

  • Mladinska mreža MaMa (Slovenia): The main coordinator and welcoming host.
  • Civic Association GRIT (North Macedonia): Expert partner in community and social support.
  • Jaunatnes Lideru Koalicija (Latvia): Focused on youth leadership development.
  • MTÜ Eesti Avatud Noortekeskuste Ühendus (Estonia): Specialized in open youth centers.
  • APS Polygonal (Italy): Official partner managing the selection of the Italian youth delegation.

However, the training sessions will not be purely theoretical. Participants will study teamwork and non-formal learning methods, while also conducting targeted study visits directly to local youth centers.

Technical Tools and Joint Project Design

In addition, the afternoon sessions will provide participants with a solid technical background. Trainers will present official European Commission support channels such as the Salto-Youth portal and the E+ Project Results sharing platform. Therefore, the national teams will use this knowledge to conduct brainstorming sessions and structure the conceptual design of new international mobilities.

In conclusion, this training course successfully lays the foundation for long-term strategic alliances. Surely, the participants will return to their home countries with high motivation and will receive the official European Youthpass certificate.
