Cori Library

As Polygonal, we are proud to manage the Municipal Library and the Historical Archives of the Municipality of Cori.

A community library

The Cori Library is a welcoming place, with ample study spaces, a growing number of resources, excellent Wi-Fi, modern computer stations, and workshops for all ages.

In terms of cultural offerings, we host numerous book presentations, research projects, and events, as well as readings for children and adults, and workshops in chess, robotics, basic programming, and the Italian language, alongside film screenings.

We offer collaborations with schools of all levels, as well as opportunities for university internships and/or school-to-work transition programs (PCTO).

A people's archive

The Historical Archive is a point of reference for numerous university students, expert scholars, and local history enthusiasts. In the Archive, it is possible to find documents dating back to 1519.

The main activity carried out in the Historical Archive is the consultation of materials for historical purposes by scholars, researchers, students, and a non-specialist public, through the assistance provided by the staff in charge.

We have launched educational workshops with schools and associations, with the aim of bringing people closer to a world unknown to most, ensuring that younger generations can develop a passion for local history. Above all, we have focused on current issues with an eye toward the past: women's rights, the environment, ancient cuisine, children's rights, anti-racism, etc.

Important enhancement initiatives are underway, both on the documentation held at the historical archive and on documentation held in private archival collections.
