Erasmus+ Exchange in Crete: Join Green STEAM

Would you like to participate in an Erasmus+ exchange in Crete focused on the environment? Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. However, it is often only studied in books. For this reason, Green STEAM was born. It is a European initiative that combines ecology and technology.

APS Polygonal is excited to open applications for this international mission. The destination will be the beautiful island of Crete, Greece. Recently, we finalized the travel details. Therefore, if you want to protect the planet, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

What is the Erasmus+ exchange in Crete about?

This Erasmus+ exchange in Crete aims to train young environmental researchers. The project uses STEAM methodologies (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Furthermore, participants will use digital sensors and satellite data. In this way, you will learn how to monitor the health of the land in a practical way. Nature and Research: The Program in Crete

The heart of this Erasmus+ exchange in Crete will be the field work at the Sitia Geopark. The event will take place from April 27th to May 2nd, 2026. First of all, it will not be a relaxing holiday. Instead, it will be a very intense outdoor education experience.

During the activities, you will:

  • Study coastal erosion and local biodiversity.
  • Use sensors to collect environmental data.
  • Collaborate with young people from Iceland, Croatia, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
  • Discover European Union support by visiting the official Erasmus+ portal.

Requirements for the Green STEAM Project

Currently, we are looking for young residents in Italy with the following requirements:

  • Age: between 18 and 30 years old.
  • Language: basic English (B1 level).
  • Interests: passion for ecology or technology.
  • Motivation: desire to become a “climate ambassador.”

In short, we are looking for curious people who want to get their hands dirty in nature.

A Free Opportunity with Erasmus+

Participation is completely free of charge. In fact, as an Erasmus+ exchange in Crete, the European fund covers every major expense. Travel, food, and accommodation are included in the budget. In addition, you will receive the Youthpass. This official certificate validates the skills you acquired abroad.
